My 13 year old son was missing his kitten while we were in Kona visiting so we stopped in at the Kat Cafe and were not disappointed. The kittens were all very sweet and cuddly and my son had two of them snuggled up with him in no time. Lots of cozy little nooks to mingle with the kitties and our host was lovely. We will definitely be back!

One of the most unique experiences I have had, I would definitely recommend if you’re a cat lover!! Very nice space, nice kittens and a good price as well! The owner was very sweet, I would go back every day to see the sweet babies if I could.

My husband and I stumbled upon this adorable kitty cafe and promptly made reservations to visit the following day with our two kids, ages 14 and 9. (All cats are up for adoption, so the entry cost helps the cafe pay for their care.) The woman working there was friendly and warm, and the cafe had a few adult cats and a few rambunctious kittens to snuggle and play with. The whole family had fun! The cafe was so nicely designed and very clean (and cool—ahhh). They have the cutest cafe shop as well, so we had to snag a few souvenirs on our way out. I highly recommend this spot for anyone who likes cats!

We had a great time. The urge to pick up the kittens was strong but we had so much fun. Very clean. Gift shop adorable. If I could adopt one I would but our flight was leaving within hours of visiting

Such a great experience!! You pay to play with the kittens, and they even have treats to purchase to give them (highly recommend this). These are local rescue kittens that are adorable and up for adoption. There were so many of them with all different personalities. I just wish I hadn’t saved this as the last thing we did before our flight out, as I felt I could spend hours in here, but unfortunately ran out of time (make sure to make a reservation)!

I believe these cafes are one of the greatest ways to save our kitties! There are so many feral cats on the big island and when they rescue them as kittens and bring them up in these kitty cafes, they become so socialized and they are so funny! The entire time we were there they were playing and tackling each other and having so much fun; but also let us pet them. You really were able to see their personalities. If you are thinking about adopting, this is a great way to do it!

So much fun!! We were missing our kitties while visiting Kona for 10 days but then visited the Kona Kat Cafe :). All the babies were playing with us and LOVED my husband. Buy the bag of food for 2 - it will help break the ice with the babies. I love supporting someone who is doing good on behalf of the kitties. Thanks for the great time. Hugs to my min squeeze Fynn.

Reservation required. Gal who runs it is very friendly and personable! We loved it. The cats were healthy and available for adoption. We recommend visiting especially if you're a cat lover!
